Polyurethane Corinthian Column Capital with Acanthus Leaf Relief

The P5230C50 polyurethane column capital stands as a premium architectural element engineered to crown decorative half-columns, pilasters, or grand pillars. This highly detailed capital brings the majesty of classical antiquity into modern architectural projects, offering a profound sense of structural depth without the immense weight of traditional stone or cast plaster. It is ideal for designers looking to introduce historical weight and refined geometry to both interior and exterior installations.

Measuring 270 mm in width, 543 mm in depth, and 420 mm in height, this capital is manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³). This advanced polymer provides a wood-like hardness and outstanding impact resistance. Thanks to its closed-cell molecular structure, the material absorbs virtually no moisture (under 1%), protecting the capital from rotting, cracking, warping, or swelling under temperature fluctuations where dimensional stability has been tested between -20 °C and +70 °C.

Visually, the capital showcases an intricate Corinthian composition. It features deeply carved, overlapping acanthus leaves at its base that transition seamlessly into sweeping spiral volutes. A central, stylized floral rosette sits prominently along the upper arch, creating a rich three-dimensional relief that captures light and shadow beautifully. The entire surface is delivered with a factory-applied primer, providing a smooth, uniform base ready for final color customization.

This versatile architectural component is highly suited for prestigious entrance porches, luxury hotel lobbies, wedding venues, and high-end residential facades. Because of its weather-resistant properties, it transitions effortlessly from interior decorative features to exterior veranda pillars, provided it is finished with a UV-resistant topcoat to prevent natural polyurethane yellowing over time.

Compared to heavy stone or brittle plaster, installing this capital is exceptionally fast and efficient. The process involves prepping a clean, dry surface, applying a high-quality polyurethane (PU) mounting adhesive, and securing the piece with mechanical screws. Once the joints are sealed with an exterior-grade acrylic putty and sanded smooth, the capital can be painted with any standard water-based or synthetic paint to match your design palette.
