neoclassical facade

A neoclassical facade is a building exterior designed in the neoclassical style, with classical architectural elements arranged in a symmetrical, plain layout. It is created using casings around windows and doors, cornices at floor divisions, columns at entrances, and panels along the facade. When these elements are made of polyurethane they are lightweight and applied directly to the wall with construction adhesive; they resist moisture and impact, do not crack, blister or warp, and can be painted. In facade conditions they are unaffected by moisture compared with plaster alternatives, and lighter and faster to install than stone alternatives. Because they are mould-cast, the profile details repeat identically on every piece, giving clean lines along the facade.
