above-window arch design

An above-window arch design describes the size, profile and ornamentation of the arch form applied above a window, produced in polyurethane. It is used on facade and interior windows to give a classic or simple arched appearance. Polyurethane is lightweight and is applied directly with adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and can be painted. It is easier to carry and install than plaster and, compared with wood, stands up to damp. Because it is moulded, the design details are identical on every piece.
