Polyurethane Round Curved Arch Molding with Keystone

The Polure P1470D101VIC is a premium architectural arch element designed to elevate window and door surrounds with classic historical proportions. Featuring a smooth, semi-circular profile crowned by an ornate acanthus-leaf keystone, this decorative arch creates an immediate focal point on high-end residential and commercial facades. Unlike heavy plaster or cast stone alternatives, it offers a lightweight yet structurally sound solution to soften sharp architectural angles and introduce classical harmony to any building exterior or interior partition.

Manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³), this arch mimics the authentic feel and hardness of solid wood without the susceptibility to rot, moisture, or insect damage. Spanning 130.9 cm in width with a height of 80.1 cm and a substantial depth of 22.1 cm, it is perfectly proportioned for standard exterior windows or interior passageways. Its closed-cell structure keeps water absorption below 1%, with dimensional stability tested between -20 °C and +70 °C without cracking, shrinking, or warping.

The visual appeal of the P1470D101VIC lies in its balanced composition. The smooth, unadorned circular curve of the main molding body contrasts beautifully with the highly detailed keystone at the apex. The keystone features intricate relief carvings of acanthus leaves and elegant scrolls, adding a touch of classical sophistication. This blend of minimalist molding and baroque-style ornamentation allows the arch to integrate seamlessly into both neo-classical and transitional architectural styles.

Ideal for both interior and exterior applications, this polyurethane arch is commonly utilized to crown exterior window frames, frame grand entrance doors, or decorate porticos on luxury villas. Indoors, it serves as a majestic transition element for wide hallway openings, dining room entrances, or as a decorative frame for wall niches. When used outdoors, applying a UV-resistant topcoat is mandatory to protect the material from sunlight-induced discoloration and preserve its pristine finish.

Installing the P1470D101VIC is highly efficient compared to traditional stone masonry. The process involves prepping the clean, dry surface, applying a high-quality polyurethane (PU) assembly adhesive, and securing the piece mechanically with screws. Joints and screw holes are filled with exterior-grade filler, sanded with 180-220 grit paper, and finished with paint. It comes with a factory-applied primer that prepares the surface for painting. However, because paint manufacturers typically do not warrant finishes applied without their designated primers, an additional primer coat remains optional based on customer preference.
