pilaster column cap

A pilaster column cap is the polyurethane head piece that comes at the very top of a pilaster column, covering and finishing the body from above. On interior and exterior facade walls it is applied over the pilaster column body with mounting adhesive and provides the transition to the ceiling or cornice line. The polyurethane material is lightweight, resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted. Being lighter than its plaster or timber equivalent eases the work at high mounting points. Because it is mould-cast, the profile details repeat identically on every piece. Polure produces the pilaster column cap in various style and size options.
