polyurethane fixture

A polyurethane fixture is an element that serves as a lighting or decorative frame in interiors and exteriors. It is used around a light source on ceilings and walls as a decorative frame, ceiling medallion or sconce frame. The material is lightweight and bonds directly with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, will not crack, swell or warp, and takes paint well. Being lightweight makes ceiling installation easy; it is not as brittle as plaster, and unlike timber it is unaffected by moisture. When used together with lighting elements, heat-resistant models are preferred. Because each piece is cast from a mould, the form and detailing repeat identically across every unit. Polure produces fixtures in a range of sizes and models.
