Polyurethane Rafter Beam

Polyurethane rafter beam refers to a timber-beamed ceiling application in which polyurethane log beams and rafters are used together on a rustic ceiling. The thick log beams give the main structural appearance, while the thin rafters give the infill appearance between the beams. It is used on country and farmhouse style ceilings to create a timber-beamed look. Both elements are hollow and lightweight and applied directly to the ceiling with assembly adhesive and screws. They resist moisture and will not rot, attract insects or crack, and they can be painted any colour. Being lighter than wood, they add no load to the ceiling and install quickly. Polure produces rafter and beam elements in matching diameters and dimensions.
