Polyurethane Crown Molding

Polure polyurethane crown molding delivers seamless architectural transitions between wall surfaces and ceilings with classic carved profiles. Manufactured from rigid high-density polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³), this crown molding offers wood-like mechanical toughness without cracking, warping, or sagging over time. Closed-cell polymer construction restricts water absorption below 1%, rendering the moldings resistant to rot and mold, and suitable for high-humidity bathrooms, kitchens, and exterior eaves (dimensional stability has been tested between -20 °C and +70 °C). Factory-coated with white acrylic primer, each section is ready for water-based or synthetic topcoats. Installation requires miter sawing 45° corner joints with precision, applying a continuous bead of polyurethane assembly adhesive across wall contact lines and joinery edges, and securing with countersunk screws. Fill screw heads and joints with facade acrylic putty, sand smooth using 180-220 grit paper, and finish with two coats of paint.

Frequently Asked Questions

What density material is used in Polure polyurethane crown molding?

Polure polyurethane crown molding is manufactured from rigid high-density polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³).

Can polyurethane crown molding be installed in bathrooms and kitchens?

Yes, with water absorption below 1%, these polyurethane moldings will not swell, rot, or mold in humid environments.

What adhesive should be used for installing polyurethane crown molding?

Continuous polyurethane assembly adhesive must be applied along wall contacts and joint edges. Silicone adhesive is forbidden.

Is mechanical screw fixing required for polyurethane crown molding?

Yes, dual attachment combining polyurethane adhesive with countersunk screws ensures permanent structural stability.

How should polyurethane crown molding be painted after mounting?

Lightly sand with 180-220 grit sandpaper, fill joint seams with acrylic putty, and apply two coats of paint.
