precast columns and capitals

A precast column and capital is a polyurethane building element where the load-bearing or decorative column shaft is produced together with the capital that forms the top section of the column. It is used on building facades, in entrance and courtyard arrangements, and for interior column cladding to create a classical architectural look. Polyurethane is lighter than plaster and concrete and is applied directly with assembly adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, blister, or peel, and can be painted with exterior facade paint. Because it is light, lifting and fitting it at height is easier and labour time is shorter. As it is mould-cast, the column flutes and capital ornaments repeat identically on every piece.
