Column Base Installation
Column base installation is the process of fixing the base piece that forms the lower foundation of a polyurethane column to the floor and to the column shaft. The base is the section where the column shaft sits; in facade, living room and entrance applications it forms the lower start of the column. Installation is usually done with polyurethane mounting adhesive and, where needed, screws; the surface must be clean and level. Because the polyurethane base is lightweight, it can be carried and positioned by a single person; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp and can be painted after installation.
