Unlike traditional plaster, which is highly susceptible to cracking under structural settling and absorbs ambient moisture, these dense polymer profiles exhibit outstanding dimensional stability. There is no warping, shrinkage, or expansion over time. With a certified temperature resistance ranging from -20°C up to +80°C, these architectural elements maintain their form without any risk of thermal deformation. Furthermore, while plaster requires delicate handling and is prone to shattering during transport or installation, our rigid profiles are highly shatterproof and impact-resistant, reducing on-site waste to zero.
Surface Preparation and Coating Specifications
Every profile in this category is supplied from the factory with a pre-applied white primer layer. This factory primer is engineered to optimize the adhesion of subsequent decorative coatings, including water-based, acrylic, or synthetic paints. However, please note that paint manufacturers typically do not guarantee the longevity of their products unless their specific brand-approved primers are applied first. Consequently, applying an additional primer layer before final coating is an optional step left to the discretion and preference of the client. Polure does not provide paint warranties and accepts no liability for third-party coating performance. For exterior applications, the use of a high-quality UV-resistant paint is mandatory to prevent any yellowing or discoloration from solar radiation.

Due to a negligible water absorption rate of under 1%, they are highly suitable for high-humidity environments such as commercial kitchens, bathrooms, and wellness centers where traditional plaster or MDF would quickly rot, swell, or mold. On building exteriors, these profiles are employed as decorative cornices under roof eaves, entry portals, and structural transitions, provided they are coated with a protective UV-resistant paint.
Installation
Achieving a professional finish requires adhering to a strict installation protocol. First, ensure the mounting surface is clean, dry, and free of dust or grease. All corner joints must be precisely cut using a miter saw at a 45-degree angle. To mount the profiles, apply a high-strength polyurethane (PU) assembly adhesive in parallel beads along the rear bonding surfaces. Do not use silicone adhesives, as they do not provide the necessary structural bond. Mechanical fastening with screws is mandatory to secure the profile while the adhesive cures. Once fixed, fill all joints, gaps, and screw holes with an appropriate filler (exterior-grade filler is required for outdoor installations). After curing, sand the filled areas using 180-220 grit sandpaper to achieve a flush surface. Finally, apply an optional primer if required by your paint manufacturer, followed by two coats of paint.
Care Information
Maintenance of these dense polymer profiles is straightforward due to their non-porous, closed-cell surface. Regular cleaning involves dusting with a soft brush or wiping with a damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive scrubbing pads or aggressive chemical solvents, as these can damage the paint coating. Should the interior design scheme change in the future, the profiles can be easily repainted. Simply sand the existing paint layer lightly, clean the surface, and apply a new coat of water-based or synthetic paint.
