Surface Preparation and Coating Requirements

However, because paint manufacturers do not guarantee adhesion without their proprietary primers, applying an additional primer coat remains optional and at the client's discretion. Polure does not accept liability for third-party paint performance. For all exterior applications, coating the profiles with a UV-resistant paint is mandatory, as raw, unpainted polymer can yellow under direct sunlight exposure. Installation
Proper installation ensures the long-term structural integrity of Küpeşte profiles. Begin by ensuring the mounting substrate is completely clean, dry, and level. Carefully measure and cut the profiles using a compound miter saw with a fine-tooth blade, executing precise 45-degree miter joints for all corner connections. To bond the material, apply a high-quality polyurethane (PU) mounting adhesive generously along all joint interfaces and contact surfaces; do not use silicone-based adhesives. Mechanical fastening with screws or dowels is mandatory to secure the profiles structurally. Countersink all screw heads below the surface, then fill the voids and joints using a high-grade exterior-grade acrylic putty. Once dry, sand the filled areas using 180-220 grit sandpaper to achieve a smooth finish. Finally, apply an optional primer coat followed by two coats of premium UV-resistant exterior paint to protect the assembly from weather exposure. For longer spans, internal structural reinforcement should be inserted into the profile's hollow center before securing to prevent deflection.
Care Information
