Modern Engineering and Architectural Heritage
The Polure Süsleme collection represents a sophisticated approach to architectural ornamentation, blending the intricate detail of classical design with modern materials science. Engineered from high-density rigid polyurethane, these decorative elements provide an efficient alternative to traditional gypsum plaster and carved wood. From historical Roman, Greek, Baroque, and Rococo motifs to clean geometric patterns suited for contemporary projects, our Süsleme range introduces structural depth and architectural character to both residential and commercial spaces. Rather than relying on heavy masonry, architects and interior designers can now specify high-relief ornaments that install quickly without compromising structural load limits.
Technical Specifications and Material Behavior
Unlike standard decorative plastics or expanded polystyrene (EPS), Polure Süsleme ornaments are manufactured to meet strict performance metrics:
- Density: 150-200 kg/m³, providing a solid, wood-like surface hardness that resists impact while remaining highly lightweight.
- Temperature Resistance: Maintains structural integrity and dimensional stability from -20°C up to +80°C, preventing warping, shrinkage, or thermal cracking.
- Moisture Barrier: The closed-cell polymer structure results in a water absorption rate of less than 1%, rendering the material completely impervious to rot, mold, and humidity.
- Fire Behavior: Features self-extinguishing properties, meaning the material will not actively support flame propagation once the external ignition source is removed.
Surface Treatment and Paint Guidelines
Every product in our Süsleme category is delivered with a factory-applied primer coat. This primer serves as a preparatory layer that optimizes the surface for the application of high-quality water-based or synthetic topcoats. However, please note that paint manufacturers typically do not guarantee paint adhesion or durability unless their own proprietary primers are used on the substrate. Consequently, applying an additional, system-compatible primer coat before painting is optional and remains entirely at the customer\'s discretion. Polure does not provide paint warranties and accepts no liability for the performance or longevity of third-party coatings applied to our products. For all exterior applications, the use of a high-quality, UV-resistant exterior paint is mandatory to protect the raw polymer from yellowing and UV-induced degradation over time.
Dimensional Diversity and Spatial Integration
Our catalog accommodates diverse architectural scales. Large-format profiles such as the P28120 (measuring 880x1660x50 mm) serve as prominent focal points on expansive wall panels or ceiling fields. Conversely, compact motifs like the P2897 (114x172x13 mm) are ideal for subtle corner transitions, frame borders, or furniture embellishments. To achieve perfect classical symmetry, our collection includes dedicated left-hand and right-hand paired sets, such as the P2812L and P2812R, allowing designers to establish balanced, mirror-image layouts across doors, fireplaces, and wall panels. These elements integrate seamlessly with our wider range of wall moldings, dado rails, and ceiling roses, enabling cohesive, multi-layered architectural themes.
Usage Areas
Polure Süsleme ornaments are highly versatile, finding application across both interior and exterior architectural projects. Indoors, they are widely used to embellish wall panels, decorate the spaces above door frames (pediments), accent ceiling medallions, and frame mirrors or built-in cabinetry. They are also favored in high-end furniture manufacturing for decorating wardrobe doors, headboards, and console tables. Externally, these weather-resistant ornaments are applied to building entrances, window pediments, under-sill projections, and columns. Their closed-cell structure makes them ideal for humid environments like indoor pools, spas, and coastal properties where plaster or wood would rapidly decay.
Installation
A successful installation of Süsleme ornaments requires strict adherence to professional guidelines. Begin by ensuring the mounting surface is clean, dry, and free of dust or grease. Measure and mark the exact position using a spirit level. All miter cuts must be executed at a precise 45-degree angle. Apply a high-quality polyurethane (PU) assembly adhesive evenly to the back of the ornament; do not use silicone adhesive, as it fails to provide the required structural bond. Mechanical fastening with screws is mandatory to secure the product during the adhesive curing phase. Once fixed, fill all joints and screw holes with an exterior-grade joint filler. After drying, sand the filled areas smooth using 180-220 grit sandpaper, apply an optional primer coat of your choice, and finish with two coats of premium paint.
Care Information
Thanks to their robust physical properties, Polure Süsleme ornaments require minimal maintenance over their 20+ year lifespan. For interior installations, periodic dusting or wiping with a damp cloth is sufficient. Avoid using abrasive cleaning pads or harsh chemical solvents that could damage the paint layer. For exterior installations, accumulated atmospheric dust and dirt can be washed away with low-pressure water and a mild detergent. If a change in color scheme is desired in the future, the surface can be lightly sanded and repainted with any compatible architectural paint.
