In modern architectural design, details define the character of a space. The Architectural Wall Ornaments collection offers premium decorative elements designed to elevate both residential and commercial projects. Manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (PU) with a density of 150-220 kg/m³, these ornaments combine the structural hardness of wood with the lightweight versatility of advanced polymers. This closed-cell material ensures exceptional dimensional stability, preventing warping, shrinking, or expanding under fluctuating environmental conditions.
Technical Performance and Material Superiority
Unlike traditional plaster (gypsum) which is heavy and highly fragile, or wood which is susceptible to rot and insect damage, our Architectural Wall Ornaments ornaments offer an engineered alternative. With a water absorption rate of under 1%, they are moisture-resistant, making them ideal for high-humidity environments. Additionally, they offer decorative benefits. Dimensional stability has been tested between -20 °C and +70 °C, ensuring no loss of form or structural integrity in varying climates. The material has fire class B2 (DIN 4102-1).
Versatile Profiles and Dimensional Range
The collection comprises a wide array of dimensions and styles tailored to diverse design requirements:
- P1801 Mirror Frame: Measuring 46x285x1320 mm, this element serves as an excellent focal point for luxury wall designs.
- P28120 Grand Wall Panel: At 880x1660x50 mm, it provides a bold, classical statement for large surfaces.
- P2812L and P2812R (Left/Right Pairs): Measuring 327x82x22 mm, these symmetrical pieces are perfect for framing doors and mirrors.
- P2822L and P2822R: Sized at 405x610x54 mm, these substantial corner ornaments add depth to neoclassical wall moldings.
- P2850 (257x477x18 mm) & P2895 (252x277x17 mm): Detailed relief patterns that showcase precise CNC-milled aesthetics.
- P2822SL and P2822SR: Compact ornaments (302x166x25 mm) ideal for fine furniture embellishments or narrow wall sections.
Surface Preparation and Coating Standards
Each ornament is delivered with a factory-applied primer (primer coat) that prepares the surface for final painting. This factory finish ensures optimal adhesion for both water-based and synthetic topcoats. However, please note that while this layer prepares the surface, paint manufacturers typically do not guarantee paint performance unless their proprietary primers are applied first. Therefore, the application of an additional primer layer is optional and remains at the discretion of the installer. Polure does not provide paint warranties or accept liability for paint adhesion issues. For exterior applications, the use of a high-quality UV-resistant paint is mandatory to prevent yellowing or degradation from sunlight exposure.
Usage Areas
Our Architectural Wall Ornaments ornaments are engineered for both interior and exterior applications. Indoors, they are widely used to create striking focal points on main walls, embellish ceiling corners, or frame luxury mirrors using models like the P1801. Symmetrical pairs like P2812L/R and P2822L/R are frequently applied to highlight doorways, lintels, and bed headboards. Finer models, including P2822SL/SR and P2850, serve as decorative relief accents on custom cabinetry, flush doors, and fireplace surrounds. For exterior facades, these components function as highly durable keystones, corbels, and pediment decorations. Thanks to their closed-cell structure and moisture resistance, they replace heavy precast concrete or rotting timber in demanding outdoor environments, adding classical elegance to boutique hotels, villas, and modern commercial facades.
Installation
For a professional and lasting installation of Architectural Wall Ornaments ornaments, follow these precise steps: First, ensure the mounting surface is completely clean, dry, and free of dust or grease. Measure and cut the joints using a 45-degree miter saw. Apply a high-quality polyurethane (PU) mounting adhesive evenly to the back of the ornament; do not use silicone-based adhesives. Mechanical fastening with screws is mandatory to secure the piece during the adhesive curing process. Once secured, seal all joints, seams, and screw holes using a premium acrylic filler (use exterior-grade filler for outdoor projects). After drying, sand the filled areas smooth with 180-220 grit sandpaper. Apply an optional primer if required by your paint manufacturer, followed by two coats of high-quality paint. For exterior installations, a UV-resistant topcoat is mandatory to protect the polymer from sunlight.
Care Information
Maintaining the Architectural Wall Ornaments collection is exceptionally straightforward. For routine cleaning, wipe the surfaces with a soft, damp cloth and a mild, non-abrasive detergent. Avoid harsh chemical solvents or acidic cleaners, as these can damage the paint finish. For outdoor installations, we recommend inspecting the joint fillers and paint integrity annually. If any minor mechanical damage occurs over time, the affected area can be easily repaired using a standard acrylic filler, sanded down, and spot-painted to match the original finish.
