Wood Alternative

Wood alternative is the general name for polyurethane decorative products that replace real timber with a wood-look finish. They are used as an alternative to wood in products such as mouldings, slats, beams, carvings and motifs. The polyurethane material is lightweight; it is applied directly with assembly adhesive, and installation is faster than with wood. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack, blister or peel, and can be painted. Unlike wood it is not attacked by insects, does not warp and does not deform in humid conditions. As it is mould-cast, the details repeat identically on every piece. Polure produces wood-alternative products in a range of sizes and patterns.
