Boiserie corner describes the corner point where boiserie panels meet, and the polyurethane corner piece used there. It is used at the four corners of panel frames to make the turn of the mouldings look clean and neat. Polyurethane is lightweight and is applied to the wall together with the moulding ends using construction adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, will not crack or blister and can be painted. The ready-made corner piece reduces the need for mitre cutting, speeds up installation and standardises the joints. Since it is mould-cast, the corner motif is identical on every piece.
