Decorative Balustrade

A decorative balustrade is a polyurethane railing element that forms a safety edge along balconies, stairs, and terraces while also serving as ornamentation. It is used as the run of pieces beneath a handrail set between newel posts, or as a ready-made panel, giving a classic facade look. Polyurethane is lightweight and applied with construction adhesive and mechanical fixings; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell, or warp, and can be painted. Because it is moisture-resistant outdoors, it needs less maintenance than wood and is lighter than stone or concrete. Cast in a mould, its profile and details repeat identically on every piece.
