A decorative window surround is a polyurethane profile and casing element that frames the side and top edges of a window opening. On facades and in interiors it is used to define the window edge, tidy the transition and give an architectural frame look. The polyurethane material is light and is fixed with assembly adhesive and screws; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or blister and can be painted. It is suitable for exterior facade use; unlike a wood equivalent it is not affected by moisture, and compared with plaster it is lighter and more break-resistant.
