Polyurethane Decorative Round Arch Segment 84x42 cm

The P1456D44VI is a high-density structural-grade polyurethane round arch segment designed to elevate portal entryways, decorative window trims, and transition passages. This architectural element bridges classical Roman geometry with clean, modern lines, offering an elegant focal point for both interior and exterior renovation projects. Engineered to withstand demanding environmental conditions, it serves as a durable alternative to heavy concrete or moisture-sensitive timber moldings.

Technically specified with an outer span of 840 mm, a rise height of 420 mm, and a profile depth of 137 mm, this arch segment integrates seamlessly into standard wall and window framing dimensions. Manufactured from rigid polyurethane with a density of 150-220 kg/m³, the material offers a wood-like surface hardness while remaining incredibly lightweight. It boasts a closed-cell structure with less than 1% water absorption, preventing rot, warping, or fungal growth, and has dimensional stability tested between -20 °C and +70 °C.

From an aesthetic perspective, the P1456D44VI features a smooth, stepped concentric profile that creates a subtle play of light and shadow along the curve. The clean, unornamented face makes it highly versatile, complementing neoclassical, Mediterranean, or contemporary architectural styles. Unlike plaster, which is prone to chipping and cracking during handling, this tough polymer ensures crisp, lasting edges that remain structurally perfect for decades.

This arch is ideally suited for creating decorative window pediments on exterior facades, framing grand entryway doors, or designing internal arched transitions between living rooms and hallways. It is frequently specified in luxury residential villas, boutique hotels, and historic building restorations where traditional aesthetics must be achieved with modern, low-maintenance materials.

Installation is straightforward and efficient. The lightweight segment is applied to clean, dry surfaces using a high-quality polyurethane (PU) assembly adhesive combined with mandatory mechanical screws for permanent stability. The joints are then filled, sanded, optionally primed according to paint manufacturer specifications, and finished with two coats of paint. Choosing polyurethane over heavy plaster or rot-prone wood dramatically reduces labor costs and structural load while ensuring a flawless finish.
