decorative ceiling log

A decorative ceiling log is a natural wood-textured polyurethane element used to give the ceiling the look of a wooden log or tree trunk. In rustic and country ceiling designs it is applied as an imitation beam or tie log. It is preferred to create a natural wood atmosphere on restaurant, cafe, villa, and mountain-house ceilings. Being hollow and lightweight, it is easier to handle than real wood; it is mounted to a substructure fixed to the ceiling with adhesive or screws. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack, blister, or rot, and the wood grain can be emphasised by painting. As it is mould-cast, the wood texture details are identical on every piece. Polure produces the decorative ceiling log in a range of widths, lengths, and textures.
