Polyurethane Wood Look Ceiling Beam and Rustic Log

The P1981G faux wood beam offers a sophisticated solution for creating authentic rustic ceilings without the immense weight and structural complications of natural timber. Designed specifically for high-end residential and commercial projects, this decorative log replicates the warm, inviting texture of aged oak while ensuring modern durability. It transforms cold, expansive ceiling spaces into cozy, architecturally rich environments.

Engineered from high-density rigid PU (150-220 kg/m³), this structural-grade decorative element measures 255 mm in width, 3000 mm in length, and 260 mm in height. Unlike real wood, which is highly susceptible to warping, cracking, insect infestation, and rot, this moisture-resistant material maintains perfect dimensional stability. With water absorption rates below 1%, it is ideal for both humid indoor spaces and challenging outdoor environments where natural wood would quickly degrade.

The surface features a meticulously rendered wood-grain pattern, complete with deep rustic cracks, natural knots, and weathered textures. The three-dimensional molding process captures the organic asymmetry of hand-hewn logs, giving it an undeniable realism. It is delivered with a factory primer coating that prepares the surface for custom painting, staining, or faux-finish distressing techniques to match your design palette.

This large-scale beam is perfect for creating grid ceiling systems, framing vaulted ceilings, or designing cozy mountain chalet aesthetics. It is widely specified by architects for luxury hotel lobbies, rustic restaurants, spacious living rooms, covered patios, and villa facades. Its hollow core structure also serves a highly functional purpose, effortlessly concealing unsightly wiring, pipes, or structural steel supports.

Installing this lightweight alternative is remarkably straightforward compared to heavy timber or plaster. The process involves precise 45-degree miter cuts, applying polyurethane (PU) assembly adhesive, and securing the beam mechanically with screws. Once installed, joint lines and screw heads are filled, sanded, primed, and coated with two layers of paint. For outdoor applications, a UV-resistant topcoat is mandatory to prevent discoloration.

Offering the ideal balance between traditional craftsmanship and modern material technology, this low-maintenance element ensures long-lasting performance. It provides the premium look of historical rafters without the structural load calculations, making it an indispensable asset for contemporary renovation and design projects.
