exterior facade column base

An exterior facade column base is a polyurethane base element that seats at the lower part of a column or pilaster on a building's outer facade. It is used to give the column shaft a clean start on the facade and to ensure visual integrity. The polyurethane material is lightweight and is fixed to the facade with mounting adhesive and mechanical fasteners. It resists moisture, rain and sun; it does not crack, blister or rot and can be painted with exterior facade paint. Being far lighter than a stone base, it adds no extra load to the facade and speeds up installation; compared with wood it does not absorb moisture. Because it is mould-produced, the base profile repeats identically on each piece and is sized to suit the column diameter. Polure produces exterior facade column bases in different models and sizes.
