classical architectural medallion

A classical architectural medallion is a polyurethane decorative ceiling element, usually circular or oval, adorned with classical motifs and placed at the centre of the ceiling. By surrounding the outlet point of a chandelier or lighting fixture, it gives the ceiling a classical focal point. It is used on living room, hallway and dining room ceilings. The polyurethane material is lightweight, easier to install than a plaster medallion and is fixed with adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, blister, and can be painted.
