Decorative Polyurethane Ionic Column Capital Models

The P5250I is a grand-scale decorative capital designed to crown column shafts with classical Greek architectural aesthetics. This premium architectural element replicates the traditional Ionic order, featuring prominent volute spirals that bring historical grandeur to modern construction projects. Made from high-density rigid polyurethane, it serves as a lightweight yet highly durable alternative to heavy plaster or stone casting, making it an excellent choice for both luxury residential and commercial developments.

With substantial dimensions of 850x850x692 mm, this capital is engineered to fit large-diameter columns. The rigid material boasts a density of 150-220 kg/m³, providing a wood-like hardness that resists impacts, cracks, and structural deformation over time. Assess water and moisture exposure using the product technical data, surface finish and installation details. It does not swell, shrink, or warp, ensuring long-term dimensional stability in any climate.

The aesthetic appeal of the P5250I lies in its meticulously rendered Ionic details. It displays double-sided symmetrical volute scrolls that curve outward, complemented by an egg-and-dart style relief pattern running along the central band. The deep, crisp carvings and smooth surface finishes are achieved through advanced precision molding, capturing the depth of classical stonework. The bottom features a circular base design to transition seamlessly into round column shafts, while the square top slab provides a sturdy visual connection to the ceiling.

This premium capital is highly versatile, suited for both interior and exterior applications. Indoors, it acts as a majestic focal point in grand hotel lobbies, luxury wedding halls, spacious villas, and high-ceilinged reception rooms. Outdoors, it is ideal for framing monumental entrance portals, supporting porch roofs, lining garden colonnades, or enhancing classical facade designs. When used on exteriors, coating the surface with UV-resistant paint is mandatory to protect the material from sunlight exposure and prevent discoloration.

Installing the P5250I is significantly faster and safer than traditional masonry. The lightweight nature of the capital prevents adding unnecessary dead load to the building structure. The installation process involves preparing a clean, dry surface, applying polyurethane (PU) mounting adhesive, and securing the capital mechanically with screws. After filling joint lines with outdoor-grade acrylic filler and sanding the surface, the product is ready for painting. While the factory-applied primer prepares the surface for paint adhesion, applying an additional primer layer remains optional and is at the discretion of the installer, as paint manufacturers may require their own primers for warranty coverage.
