classic window surround crown

A classic window surround crown is a polyurethane top ornament applied to the upper edge of window and door surrounds, designed according to classic architectural pediment and moulding forms. It is used to emphasise the top line of the opening and complete the surround. The polyurethane material is lightweight and applied directly with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted. Being lighter than a plaster crown, it is easy to install at height and, unlike timber, is not affected by moisture. Because each piece is mould-cast, the profile and ornament details repeat identically across every unit. Polure produces classic surround crowns in various width and profile options.
