Polyurethane Decorative Pediment Crest Model P2842A

The P2842A architectural pediment serves as an ornate crowning element designed to elevate the visual prestige of doorways, window arches, and grand wall panels. Measuring 205 mm in depth, 925 mm in width, and 910 mm in height, this prominent structural ornament brings neoclassical grandeur to high-end residential and commercial facades. Its substantial dimensional scale makes it a magnificent focal point in demanding architectural layouts.

Engineered from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³), the product replicates the structural density and tactile solidity of natural wood while offering superior resistance to environmental degradation. With a closed-cell composition, its water absorption rate remains below 1%, preventing rot, warping, or swelling under extreme humidity. The factory-applied primer prepares the surface for subsequent coatings, though applying an additional primer tailored to your specific paint system is optional and recommended for optimal adhesion.

The aesthetic character of the P2842A is defined by its deep, high-relief classical carvings. A central smooth cartouche is framed by symmetrical, dynamic volutes that sweep outward, terminating in lush acanthus leaf motifs. The crest is topped with a stylized fan-like palmette, delivering a balanced, historical silhouette. This level of intricate undercutting and crisp detailing is virtually impossible to achieve in plaster or timber without prohibitive craftsmanship costs.

This versatile embellishment is highly suited for both interior and exterior applications. Outdoors, it serves as an imposing window pediment or a portico crest, provided it is finished with a UV-resistant paint to prevent discoloration. Inside, it transforms grand salon entrances, fireplace mantels, or library bookcases into monumental focal points.

Compared to heavy cast stone or fragile gypsum, this lightweight decorative piece reduces structural load and simplifies installation. Mounting requires securing the clean, dry unit using a premium polyurethane (PU) mounting adhesive, supplemented by mechanical screws for long-term safety. Joints and screw heads are easily concealed with exterior-grade filler, followed by sanding and painting.
