Corinthian column head

A Corinthian column head is a Corinthian-order capital piece with acanthus leaf decoration, seated on the upper end of the column shaft. It completes the classical architectural look as a transition element connecting the shaft to the ceiling or beam. It is placed on the end of the shaft and fixed with construction adhesive. The polyurethane material is lightweight and applied directly; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted. Being much lighter than stone and plaster capitals, it is easy to install and adds no extra load to the load-bearing column. Because it is mould-cast, the rows of leaves and edge profiles repeat identically on every capital. Polure produces the Corinthian column head in sizes suited to different shaft diameters.
