Furniture decorations is the general name for the polyurethane decorative appliqués, reliefs, crowns and motif elements applied to furniture surfaces. These decorations are used on cabinet doors, drawer fronts, display unit edges and headboards. Polyurethane is lightweight and applied directly to the surface with assembly adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted. It is lighter and faster to mount than carved wood and more break-resistant than plaster. Because it is mould-cast, decoration details repeat identically on every piece.
