carved wall panel

A carved wall panel is a decorative polyurethane panel used for wall cladding, with relief motifs worked into its surface by carving. It is used in living rooms, bedrooms and hotel lobbies to decorate large surfaces as a patterned cladding. The polyurethane material is lightweight; it is applied directly with construction adhesive, resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and can be painted. Unlike wood panels it carries no risk of moisture damage or insects, and unlike plaster panels it is not brittle. Because it is mould-cast, the carved motifs can be repeated across panels to form a continuous surface. Polure produces carved wall panels in a range of patterns and sizes.
