window crown model

A window crown model is a polyurethane top element of a defined form applied above a window opening to crown the window. As a straight, arched, pedimented or corniced model it is used together with a surround and trim to emphasise the window top on the facade. The polyurethane material is lightweight and is fixed directly with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, blister or peel, and can be painted. Being lighter than stone or plaster, it is easy to install at high points on the facade and is not damaged by moisture. Because it is mould-cast, the crown profile is identical on every piece. Polure produces window crown models in a range of sizes and forms.
