polyurethane lighting profile

A polyurethane lighting profile is a ceiling- or wall-mounted profile that produces indirect lighting when an LED light strip is placed behind it. It has a cross-section designed to reflect the light onto the wall or ceiling and is used in concealed lighting applications. The material is lightweight and bonds directly with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, will not crack, swell or warp, and takes paint well. Being lightweight makes ceiling installation of long profiles easy; joints are less visible than with plaster. When used with LEDs, its heat-resistant structure is an advantage. Because each piece is cast from a mould, the profile cross-section repeats identically across every unit. Polure produces lighting profiles in a range of sections and sizes.
