polyurethane cornice moulding

A polyurethane cornice is a horizontal-profile decorative polyurethane moulding applied to the corner where the wall meets the ceiling. It is used to soften the wall-to-ceiling transition and to create a concealed lighting channel; it is common in interiors such as living rooms, reception rooms and hallways. The polyurethane material is light and applied directly to the corner with assembly adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, blister or peel, and can be painted. Being lighter than a plaster cornice, it adds no extra load to the ceiling and can be applied by a single person. Because the profile section is mould-cast, the same size and detail repeat on every length. Polure produces cornices in plain, ornate and concealed-lighting types in a range of section sizes.
