A polyurethane window crown is a decorative polyurethane element placed on the top edge of a window to crown it. Applied over the upper window surround or together with it, it gives the window a distinct top accent on the facade. It is common on classical and neoclassical facades. The polyurethane material is lightweight and is fixed directly to the facade with construction adhesive and screws. It resists moisture and outdoor weather conditions, does not crack or swell, and can be painted with exterior facade paint. Being lighter than its plaster or stone equivalents makes carrying and installation easier on tall facades. Since the profile is mould-produced, the crown details repeat identically on every piece.
