Polyurethane Decorative Door Pediment Corner Scroll

The Polure P2842R is a high-density polyurethane decorative corner pediment designed to bring classical relief detailing to premium architectural projects. Functioning as an asymmetrical right-oriented flourish, this ornament serves as an excellent alternative to heavy, fragile plaster castings or high-maintenance carved wood. It provides a striking three-dimensional accent that instantly elevates doorways, window frames, and wall panels, offering an efficient way to introduce historical architectural features to modern layouts.

Measuring 1070 mm in width, 720 mm in height, and with a pronounced depth of 90 mm, this pediment is built from rigid polyurethane with a density of 150-220 kg/m³. This specific density provides a structural hardness similar to white pine, ensuring excellent impact resistance while keeping the overall component exceptionally lightweight. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, the material exhibits a water absorption rate of less than 1%, meaning it is highly resistant to rot, warping, splitting, and mold growth, making it highly reliable for both moisture-prone interiors and challenging exterior facades.

Visually, the P2842R model displays a highly detailed neoclassical composition. It features a sweeping acanthus leaf scroll that curves into elegant, deep-set volutes. The lower section of the design is accented by a delicate bead-and-reel pattern trailing down to a stylized floral tail, creating a strong sense of movement and depth. This right-hand configuration is ideally paired with its left-hand counterpart or positioned alongside central keystones and pilasters to build balanced, symmetrical architectural compositions above entryways or mirrors.

This versatile ornamental pediment is highly favored for framing grand entryways, crowning large exterior windows, embellishing fireplace mantels, and creating elaborate headboard surrounds in luxury bedrooms. It is frequently specified in commercial environments such as hotel lobbies, upscale restaurants, and boutique retail spaces where traditional plasterwork would be too costly or structurally impractical to install. When painted with UV-resistant coatings, it serves as a durable exterior pediment for classical villa entrances and historical restoration projects.

Installation is simple and clean compared to gypsum-based products. The ornament is mounted directly to dry, clean surfaces using polyurethane (PU) mounting adhesive and secured mechanically with screws. The product comes pre-treated with a factory-applied primer coat that prepares the surface for painting. However, please note that applying an additional primer coat remains optional and is highly recommended based on the guidelines of your chosen paint manufacturer to ensure full warranty coverage, as Polure does not guarantee third-party paint adhesion.
