Polyurethane Ceiling Dome

A polyurethane ceiling dome is a decorative ceiling element in a concave dome form, made of polyurethane, mounted in the centre of the ceiling. It is usually placed around a chandelier or lighting fixture and creates ornamentation that adds a sense of depth to the ceiling. It is used in larger spaces such as living rooms, dining rooms and entrance halls. The polyurethane is lightweight and is fixed to the ceiling with construction adhesive and, where needed, screws; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell and can be painted. Being much lighter than a plaster dome, it puts little load on the ceiling and can be installed by one person. As it is mould-cast, the inner-surface pattern is identical on every piece. Polure produces its polyurethane ceiling domes in a range of diameters.
