fireplace surround frame

A fireplace surround frame is a profiled polyurethane band that frames the front opening of a decorative fireplace unit. It is used in living and sitting rooms to define the area around a decorative fireplace and integrate it with the wall. The polyurethane material is lightweight and applied directly to the wall with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or warp and can be painted. Because it is mould-cast, the profile stays the same along its cross-section and the corner joints sit cleanly. It is much lighter than marble or timber equivalents, which both speeds installation and reduces the load on the wall. Polure produces the fireplace surround frame in a range of profile widths and sizes.
