fireplace casing

A fireplace casing is the box-shaped polyurethane structure that forms the outer body of a decorative fireplace unit and frames the opening. It is used in living and sitting rooms as the main supporting decor element for building a floor- or wall-mounted decorative fireplace. The polyurethane material is lightweight and is joined and applied with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or warp and can be painted. Because it is mould-cast, the casing pieces join cleanly with one another and the surface details repeat identically on every piece. Being far lighter than marble or timber equivalents makes transport and installation easier. Polure produces the fireplace casing in a range of models and sizes.
