ceiling dome

A ceiling dome is a polyurethane decorative element in a concave dome form, applied recessed or projecting on the ceiling surface. In areas such as entrance halls, living rooms and dining rooms it is used to add depth to the ceiling and focus the lighting. The polyurethane dome is lightweight and applied directly to the ceiling with construction adhesive and, where needed, screws; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted. Because it is mould-cast, the inner surface details repeat identically on every piece. Being far lighter than a plaster dome makes single-person installation possible. Polure produces ceiling domes in various diameter and depth options.
