Factory Primer and Painting Guidelines

Installation
Successful installation of Düz Bordür profiles requires a structured, mechanical approach to ensure long-term stability. Begin by preparing the mounting surface, ensuring it is clean, dry, and free of dust or grease. Measure and cut the profiles using a fine-toothed hand saw or a professional miter saw set to a precise 45-degree angle, which is essential for seamless corner joints. Apply a high-quality polyurethane (PU) mounting adhesive across the rear bonding surface of the profile. Do not use silicone adhesives, as they do not provide the necessary structural bond. Once the profile is pressed firmly onto the wall, mechanical securing with screws is mandatory to hold the molding in place during the curing process. After the adhesive dries, fill all screw holes and joint lines using a high-quality filler. Once dry, sand these areas smoothly with 180-220 grit sandpaper. Finally, apply an optional primer followed by two coats of paint. For exterior installations, the use of UV-resistant paint is mandatory to prevent material yellowing, and all joints and screw points must be sealed with a durable exterior-grade putty.
