paintable column

A paintable column is a polyurethane decorative element produced with a paint-accepting surface that forms a vertical architectural element against a wall or free-standing. It is used in living rooms, entrance halls and passages to provide a classic architectural look and a vertical accent. It consists of shaft, capital and base parts. The polyurethane material is lightweight and is applied directly to the surface with assembly adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted any colour. It is much lighter than a plaster column and, as it carries no structural load, installs easily; unlike wood it is unaffected by moisture. Because it is mould-cast, the shaft flutes and capital ornamentation stay the same on every piece. Once painted, it gives a look matching the wall or room colour. Polure produces the paintable column in different diameter and height options.
