Decorative Precast Column
A decorative precast column is a polyurethane column element that gives the appearance of a precast (ready-cast) column. Instead of precast columns that resemble concrete in appearance, it is used to create a column effect in interiors and on facades; it consists of a shaft, base, and capital. Compared with real precast or concrete, polyurethane is much lighter, applied with construction adhesive, and adds no structural load; this makes installation easier than with heavy cast columns. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack or blister, and can be painted. Because it is moulded, the shaft and capital details repeat identically on every piece. Polure produces decorative precast columns in a range of diameters and capital options.
