A decorative fireplace is a polyurethane fireplace form used to create a visual focal point without a combustion chamber. It is used in living rooms and seating areas to give a wall the look of a decorative fireplace and to place a candle or electric heater. The polyurethane material is light and fixes easily to the wall with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and takes paint. Being far lighter than a stone or plaster fireplace, it puts no load on the wall, installs faster and holds no water.
