Decorative ceiling decor is the general term covering the polyurethane ornamental elements applied to the ceiling. Together with cornices, roses, and borders, it is used to frame the ceiling, emphasise the area around the lighting, and give a flat surface a pattern. It is applied for decorative purposes on residential, office, and commercial ceilings. The polyurethane material is lightweight and glued directly to the ceiling with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or blister, and can be painted. It is lighter and faster to install than a plaster or wooden equivalent. As it is mould-cast, the pattern details repeat identically on every piece.
