Door crown models refer to the different forms and profile options of the polyurethane crown (pediment) pieces placed above a door. They include flat pediments, curved crowns, arched crowns and console crowns. At interior and exterior door entrances they emphasise the top of the door to form a classical or neoclassical head. The polyurethane material is light and applies directly with assembly adhesive and screws; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell and can be painted. Being lighter than plaster makes above-door installation easier, and unlike wood it is unaffected by moisture. Because it is mould-cast, each model's detail repeats identically across pieces.
