classical facade columns

Classical facade columns are upright, load-bearing-looking elements suited to the classical order, lined up at entrances, corners and between windows on a building facade; each consists of a shaft, capital and base. They add vertical rhythm and symmetry to the facade and emphasize entrance and portico sections. They are mould-cast from exterior-grade polyurethane; since the shafts are hollow they are lightweight, and they are fixed to the facade with adhesive and a mechanical connection. They resist moisture, frost and impact, do not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted with exterior facade paint. Being lighter than stone and concrete, installation is fast and they add no extra load to the facade. Because they are mould-cast, all columns share the same profile and size.
