Polyurethane Decorative Spiral Column Design

The P5830C is a premium architectural element designed to bring neoclassical grandeur and dynamic motion to your structural designs. Featuring a striking helical spiral body, this decorative column shaft elevates plain walls, entrances, and support structures into focal points of refined taste. Engineered for both interior and exterior applications, it offers high impact resistance while remaining remarkably lightweight compared to traditional stone, plaster, or concrete alternatives.

With a substantial diameter of 300 mm and a grand height of 2600 mm, this column is perfectly scaled for high-ceilinged lobbies, grand halls, and imposing facades. Crafted from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³), it matches the density and tactile quality of hardwood while avoiding its structural vulnerabilities. This closed-cell material has low water absorption (below 1%), ensuring high resistance to rot, moisture, and warping under fluctuating weather conditions.

Visually, the P5830C stands out with its deep, symmetrical spiral grooves that wrap around the shaft. This helix pattern creates a beautiful play of light and shadow, shifting dynamically throughout the day with natural sunlight or strategic architectural spot lighting. The product arrives with a factory-applied white primer coat, providing a smooth, uniform surface that is ready for final custom painting to match your project's specific color palette.

This versatile column shaft is ideal for framing luxury villa entrances, supporting porch canopies, or defining zones within large open-plan hotel lobbies and upscale restaurants. In residential interiors, it can be used to flank doorways, decorate fireplace surrounds, or stand as freestanding ornamental pillars. Its weather-resistant properties make it an exceptional choice for grand garden pergolas, patios, and classical facade designs.

Installing the P5830C is significantly faster and safer than handling heavy gypsum or cast stone columns, eliminating the need for heavy machinery or structural reinforcement. For a secure bond, use a high-quality polyurethane (PU) mounting adhesive along with mechanical screw fastening. While the factory primer prepares the surface, applying an optional extra primer recommended by your paint manufacturer is advised for optimal adhesion and paint warranty. For outdoor installations, a topcoat of UV-resistant paint is mandatory to prevent natural yellowing.
