window crown arch

A window crown arch is a polyurethane element placed above a window opening that crowns the window with a curved line. On classical facades it is used together with a surround or trim to emphasise the window top with an arched crown. The polyurethane material is lightweight and is fixed directly with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, blister or peel, and can be painted. Being far lighter than a stone arch, it is easy to install at high points on the facade and is not eroded by rain. Because it is mould-cast, the arch profile repeats identically on every piece.
