Polyurethane Decorative Semi Circular Archway Profile

The P1470D101VI semi-circular arch trim is designed to bring classical architectural symmetry and structure to premium residential and commercial projects. This curved molding acts as an elegant frame for arched windows, doorways, and recessed alcoves, creating a highly refined transition zone. Engineered for both interior and exterior applications, it elevates simple wall openings into sophisticated focal points inspired by traditional European design.

With a precise span of 1309 mm and a height of 655 mm, this semi-circular profile forms a mathematically perfect arc. The face width of 108 mm provides a prominent, well-balanced border that suits medium to large architectural features. Manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³), the profile matches the hardness of softwoods while offering superior structural stability. Its closed-cell composition ensures water absorption remains under one percent, preventing rot, warping, or insect damage under extreme weather conditions, with dimensional stability tested between -20 °C and +70 °C.

Visually, the model features a smooth, factory-primed white surface characterized by refined, stepped concentric profiles. The multi-tiered relief lines capture light beautifully, adding depth and subtle shadow play to any archway. The factory-applied primer prepares the surface for finishing; however, because paint manufacturers have specific requirements to validate their warranties, applying a dedicated primer coat is optional but recommended before finishing with two coats of high-quality water-based or UV-resistant exterior paint.

Highly versatile, this archway molding is frequently specified for framing arched entryways, highlight windows, and decorative wall niches. In luxury villas, boutique hotels, and historic restorations, it can be combined with matching straight architraves to build complete portal designs. Whether used as a grand entrance header on an outdoor facade or as a decorative library alcove frame indoors, it delivers a consistent premium finish.

Installing this lightweight polyurethane profile is significantly simpler than handling heavy plaster or cast stone alternatives. The installation process requires preparing the mounting surface, applying a high-quality polyurethane (PU) assembly adhesive, and securing the arch mechanically with screws. After filling the joint lines and screw holes with an appropriate filler, a light sanding with 180-220 grit sandpaper prepares the assembly for its final paint layers.
