Polyurethane Round Curved Arch Molding Model

The P1456D75VI curved arch molding is a premium architectural element designed to frame arched doorways, windows, and decorative wall openings. Crafted with a precise semicircular geometry, this rigid polyurethane arch molding elevates standard transitions into stately architectural features. It serves as an excellent framing solution for both interior residential spaces and grand exterior facades, bringing structural definition to neoclassical and traditional designs.

Engineered to withstand diverse environmental conditions, this product is manufactured from high-density polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³), giving it a structural toughness comparable to natural hardwood. With a total span of 1150 mm, a height of 575 mm, and a profile width of 137 mm, it offers balanced proportions for standard-sized portals. The closed-cell structure ensures an exceptionally low water absorption rate of under 1%, preventing rot, swelling, or warping, while maintaining dimensional stability across a temperature range of -20 °C / +70 °C.

Visually, the arch features a stepped concentric profile, displaying clean parallel lines that cast soft, architectural shadows along its curve. The smooth white surface is pre-treated at the factory with a primer, providing an even foundation that highlights the fine transitions of the molding. This clean-cut profile effortlessly complements smooth plaster walls, brickwork, or stone cladding, bridging the gap between different building materials with a professional finish.

This versatile molding is highly adaptable for various applications. On exterior facades, it serves as a protective and decorative window surround or door pediment. Indoors, it can be utilized to define arched passageways in hallways, frame recessed shelving niches, or crown large mirrors and headboards. It is widely specified in high-end residential villas, boutique hotels, and restored historical properties looking to achieve authentic architectural depth.

Installing this lightweight component is significantly faster than working with heavy plaster or fragile gypsum. The process requires a clean, dry substrate, followed by the application of a polyurethane (PU) assembly adhesive. For permanent security, mechanical fastening with screws is required. Once mounted, seams and screw heads are filled with joint compound, sanded smooth, and finished with paint. Compared to wood, this durable polyurethane alternative will not crack, splinter, or attract pests over time.
