polyurethane lighting

Polyurethane lighting refers to decorative polyurethane elements that surround or conceal a light source. They are used on ceilings and walls for indirect (concealed) lighting in forms such as profiles, medallions and niches; a light strip placed behind these elements produces reflected lighting. The material is lightweight and bonds directly with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, will not crack, swell or warp, and takes paint well. Being lightweight makes installing long ceiling profiles easy; making seamless joints is more practical than with plaster. Because each piece is cast from a mould, the profile cross-section repeats identically across every unit. Polure produces lighting elements in a range of sizes and sections.
